Five Ferns House is a purpose-built B&B in the beautiful town of Westport, Co. Mayo and newly refurbished in 2020 by the present owners, Rachel and Julian, originally from Malta.

 

Rachel is a pastry chef by profession, but has worked for many years in the catering and the hospitality industries. Julian is a fully qualified masseur and personal trainer, specialising in sports and leisure management, and now organises tours around the West of Ireland. They have three children and have decided to pursue their dream of having a B&B in the West of Ireland and enjoy sharing its beauty with guests. Julian likes the outdoors, especially trekking, camping and fishing. Rachel loves to cook and entertain, so she loves to have a full house!

 

Five Ferns House is conveniently situated in Knockranny Village which is less than 1 km away from the town. A 15 minute walk will take you right to the centre of town. Town is teeming with quirky shops, pubs and restaurants. Westport House is also lovely to visit. Being just on the outskirts of town has the advantage of the peace and quiet of the countryside. One can relax once in the B&B. Knockranny House Hotel is behind the B&B, just two minutes away, so guests can easily go to the bar, restaurant or spa there.
